Project Baby Review: A Motherhood Story with Heart

What if you don’t want to get married, but you still want a baby? Would you choose to get pregnant anyway?

That’s the premise of Project Baby, starring Sue Ramirez and Rico Blanco.

I enjoyed Project Baby. It’s a fun, feel-good movie. If you need a breather, give it a watch. The story moves quickly, and it leaves you smiling by the end. Even though it tackles a life-changing decision, the film never feels stressful.

The story may especially resonate with women over 30 who want to become mothers, even without a husband.

A Different Path to Motherhood

Sue Ramirez plays Sandy, a successful career woman who wants to become a mother but doesn’t want a husband. She looks for a man who could father her future child. That’s how she meets Migo, played by Rico Blanco.

But what happens when a plan without love leads to unexpected feelings?

Characters You’ll Root For

Sandy and Migo are both likable. The people around them add warmth to the story, especially Miss Alice Dixson. She seems not to age, and she makes a strong impression. She and Sue Ramirez also make a convincing mother-and-daughter pair. Their relationship is complicated, but their love for each other comes through.

Sue and Rico also bring a sweet spark to the screen. Their chemistry isn’t explosive, but it suits their characters and the story. You’ll find yourself rooting for them.

If Sandy and Migo were real, I could see them falling for each other. They share similar temperaments. Both are accomplished and mature. I could even picture them as a married couple.

What makes their connection charming is that a shared goal brings them together first. The romance comes later.

A Warm Take on Motherhood

The cast delivers solid performances, not just the leads. Most of all, I enjoyed the film’s thoughtful take on women who want to become mothers.

Project Baby is an entertaining and relatable movie. It handles a big life choice with warmth, humor, and heart.
