Is Love, Siargao worth watching? The first episode introduces us to Kara and Jao, two characters whose lives take an interesting turn in Siargao.
Starring Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre, the series follows Kara and Jao as they navigate life and love on the island.

Two Curses of Siargao
Kara and Jao have different experiences when they arrive in Siargao.
Kara stays on the island after visiting the province. Meanwhile, Jao seems destined to experience heartbreak when he arrives.
According to the story, these are the two curses of Siargao. One makes you want to stay forever, while the other brings disappointment in love.
This premise introduces the characters and gives viewers an idea of what to expect from the series.
A Lighthearted Island Vibe
The first episode has a relaxed atmosphere. It captures the island vibe, where life feels less stressful and people can simply go with the flow.
Nothing particularly life-changing happens in this episode. Instead, it focuses on introducing Kara and Jao, along with the other characters who will play a role in their story.
It also gives viewers a glimpse of life in Siargao and how the island might influence the characters’ journeys.
A Story About Finding Yourself
Based on the first episode, I get the impression that the series will maintain this lighthearted approach, even when the characters encounter problems.
The characters do not seem particularly problematic. Rather, they appear to be people who are still figuring things out.
They may have personal struggles, but these challenges could help them discover what they truly want in life and who they want to become.
Perhaps Siargao will become the place where they discover their true desires. Alternatively, living on the island might help them understand themselves better.
Is Love, Siargao Worth Watching?
Overall, based on Episode 1, Love, Siargao feels like a laid-back series with an easygoing island atmosphere.
Rather than introducing heavy conflicts right away, the opening episode focuses on the characters, their circumstances, and the possibilities ahead of them.
It remains to be seen how their stories will unfold in the succeeding episodes. However, the first episode sets the stage for a story that may explore love, personal growth, and the process of discovering who we want to become.
