Can some things really find their way back to us when we are finally ready to see them again?
That is one of the questions raised by Remember, starring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Let’s talk about it.
According to ABS-CBN Star Cinema, Remember follows an estranged couple who have forgotten what it means to love each other. However, they find themselves pretending to be together again for the sake of their daughter, whose memory is fading.
As they revisit their past, they discover that love has a long memory. Sometimes, all it takes is one miracle to remember.
A Heartwarming Story from DongYan
Based on the film’s official description and teaser, Remember looks like another heartwarming story that could bring us to tears. The DongYan tandem seems ready to tug at our heartstrings once again.
Moreover, the film hints at an acting showdown between Marian and Dingdong, in the best possible way. Their performances might give us another reason to fall in love with this real-life couple on the big screen.
Does Marian Rivera Look Like Song Hye Kyo?
However, one detail caught my attention.
In one scene, Marian gave me a bit of a Song Hye Kyo vibe, especially with her short hair. It reminded me of Song Hye Kyo’s look in the series Encounter.
Do you see the resemblance, too? What do you think?
Five Production Companies Behind Remember
Another detail worth noting is the film’s impressive lineup of production companies. Five major names are behind Remember: Star Cinema, ABS-CBN Studios, APT Entertainment, AgostoDos Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.
With this lineup, one question comes to mind: Will Remember tug at our heartstrings the way Rewind did?
More importantly, can it match the success of Rewind, which captivated audiences three years ago?
We will find out this November.
