Can you keep loving someone even when you’re not sure they feel the same way?
The trailer for Always Yours, Never Mine is finally here, and Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto look ready to break our hearts once again.
Director Cathy Garcia-Sampana describes Always Yours, Never Mine as a story that follows Apollo and Luna through different stages of their lives. Their journey explores love, friendship, missed opportunities, and whether some relationships are meant to survive even when people and circumstances change.
But after watching the trailer, my biggest impression is this: you’ll be waiting until the very end to find out if Apollo and Luna will actually end up together.
Although, honestly, it doesn’t look that way.
A Love Story About Growing Up
There’s something really sad about the trailer. But beyond the love story, it also seems to explore a deeper theme about growing up.
As we gain more life experience and mature, we sometimes realize that the things we thought we wanted before may not be what we truly want anymore.
Maybe that’s also what Apollo and Luna are going through.
But this is only the trailer. It’s just a glimpse of the story, so we still don’t know what will really happen in the movie.
Where Is Bianca Umali?
There’s one more thing I noticed: Bianca Umali wasn’t shown in this particular trailer.
So… could there be a surprise waiting for us?
Expect the unexpected?
A Different Perspective on Love
I also noticed the cinematic approach of the trailer.
There are plenty of wide shots, making you feel like an observer watching Apollo and Luna’s relationship from a distance.
But it could also reflect Apollo’s perspective.
That feeling of loving someone from a distance. Having feelings that you’ve kept for so long, while not knowing if the two of you will ever truly be together.
And maybe that’s what makes Always Yours, Never Mine interesting.
It’s not simply about asking whether Apollo and Luna will end up together. It may also be about how people change, how relationships evolve, and how love can remain even when life takes people in different directions.
Will Apollo and Luna finally find their way to each other? Or will they become another story of love that was never meant to last?
